An unusual African mask, related to the cult of ancestors. A geometrically shaped face, with perforations visible on the chin presuming the former presence of raffia fibres. The Adoma people are an ethnic group from Gabon, Central Africa. The Adouma, ‘men of the river’ or ‘canoeist masters’, have long lived on the banks of the Ogooué, upstream and downstream of Lastourville between the Doume and Bounji bays.
This Adoma mask from Gabon is a unique piece of African art that will add a touch of culture and history to your collection. Expertly crafted by skilled artisans, it features intricate details and bold colors that make it stand out.
Perfect for both display and appreciation, this mask is a must-have for all art enthusiasts. Its rich history and significance make it a valuable addition to any collection. Add this Adoma mask to your collection today and enjoy the beauty and cultural significance it brings.
