A wonderful rare Yombe ceremonial mask from the Democratic Republic of Congo estimated at 1960s. These rare realistic looking masks are worn in communal ceremonies. Very realistic facial features, rich dark brown patina and open mouth are characteristics of the Yombe style.
Condition: Good, wear consistent with age. Hole in center of forehead.
